Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data sprks collects, why, and how you can control it. sprksis an AI-assisted content tool for creators; the short version is: we store what you need to use the product, we don't sell your data, and you can delete your account at any time.

To power inspiration feeds, sprks retrieves public content and statistics (posts, videos, view counts, hashtag activity) from platforms you track in your watchlist. This is public data about content creators, not private data about you.

sprks uses YouTube API Services to retrieve public channel and video metadata and statistics (titles, thumbnails, view counts) for channels and search terms you choose to track. By using these features you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. The API data we cache (public video metadata and statistics) is refreshed or deleted within 30 days. You can stop this collection at any time by removing the channel or keyword from your watchlist.

Optionally, you can connect your own YouTube channel with your Google account. If you do, sprks requests a single read-onlyscope (youtube.readonly) plus your email, and uses it only to: identify your channel, show your own videos' performance against your channel's baseline, and match generated thumbnails to your channel's visual style. We never upload, edit, comment, or change anything on your channel, and we do not share this data with anyone. sprks's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke access at any time — in sprksvia Settings → "disconnect & revoke" (which also revokes the grant at Google), or directly in your Google account security settings. Disconnecting deletes the stored tokens immediately.

Your drafts, saved ideas, and helper conversations are processed by third-party AI models (Anthropic Claude; image generation by OpenAI) to generate suggestions. These providers process data to provide the service and do not use it to train their models under our API terms. If you connect your own AI API key, requests run under your key and the provider's terms apply to your account directly.

We use a small set of processors to run sprks: Supabase (database, auth, file storage), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic and OpenAI (AI), and data providers for public platform content. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.

We do not sell your personal data, run third-party advertising, or post to your connected accounts without an action you took.

Your data is kept while your account is active. Request deletion at any time by emailing hello@sprks.xyz — we remove your account, content, tokens, and cached data within 30 days. Disconnecting a connected account removes its tokens immediately.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest; access tokens and API keys are stored encrypted; every database table is scoped so users can only read their own rows.
